Nineteenth-century Impressionist Vincent Van Gogh,
who rarely sold a painting in his lifetime, would be
delighted to find his
"Starry Night" recreated by Alex,
Bryan (right) and hundreds of other visitors to the
annual Oil City School District's Student Art Show on
Saturday.
Thousands of  pieces were on display throughout the
National Transit Building, featuring student creations
from the district's six schools. Collaboration between
all of the art instructors resulted in the Italian Street
Painting at right, beautifully rendered through a simple
grid pattern, chalk and children.
Artist Jilleane (below) and many others became
artwork themselves with a frame and "honk for art"
sign as they drew passersby to the four-floors of  fun.
