Franklin's Annual Rock In River Fest at Riverfront Park -- Saturday, Aug. 28, 11am-4pm
Franklin’s newest festival held in Riverfront Park overlooking the confluence of French Creek and the beautiful
Allegheny River.  The River Festival will include music, crafts, food, boat rides, rock painting for the children, a
chicken barbeque and lots of fun!  Acoustic rock and country music will be provided by the "Ryver Nymphs."

Kayak demos provided by "Wiegel on the Water."

Watch amateurs and professionals, including 2009 PA Champion Grant Mitchell and National Champion and
Guinness World Record Holder, Russ Byars, compete for the state championship of skipping stones across the
water.  Children may compete in Gerplunking.

 The annual Oil Heritage Festival in Oil City will be
held July 22-25, with the parade from 5-pm on
Saturday (24th), the Classic Car Cruise-In and Raft
Race on Sunday (25th).
The Oil Heritage Art Show and the Children's &
Young Adult Show will be open to the public in the
Transit and Transit Annex from Tue.-Sun. (20th-25th).
32nd Annual Oil Heritage Festival! This fun summer
festival brings thousands of visitors into downtown Oil
City, Pennsylvania. You'll find a large heritage artisan
craft show, parade, evening concerts in Justus Park,
beautiful firework displays along the Allegheny River,
softball tournament, ice cream social, bicycle rodeo,
children's mini-carnivals, and plenty of food to satisfy
all your cravings. Please join us as we "celebrate our
history and share our heritage!"
